Still have questions?

  • Absolutely! No bread-baking experience is needed. In fact, about 90% of the people who join us have never made sourdough before — they just have a love for good bread and a desire to learn. This class is made to be fun, simple, and welcoming for anyone, no matter where you’re starting from.

And if you’ve given sourdough a try in the past and it didn’t quite work out, you’re not alone. We’d be thrilled to help you troubleshoot those struggles and show you how to bake beautiful, delicious bread you can be proud of.

  • Classes are held in a clean, pet-free private residence at the location you choose when you register. Once you sign up, we’ll send you all the details and directions. It’s a cozy, welcoming space — perfect for baking and learning together!

  • Just your enthusiasm and curiosity — that’s it! We’ll have everything else you need ready and waiting for you. Come as you are, and get ready to have some fun with sourdough!

  • Great question! Since sourdough takes several hours to rise and rest at different stages, we prepare dough in advance at various points in the process. That way, during class, you’ll get to see and experience dough at every important stage — from mixing the “shaggy” dough to stretch and folds, scoring, the windowpane test, and even a full bake.

And yes — by the end, you’ll get to taste a fresh, warm slice of sourdough! It’s a full-experience class packed into two fun hours.

  • Nope — each 2-hour class is a complete, stand-alone class. We offer multiple sessions in your area of choice simply because there’s so much interest, and we want to give as many people as possible the chance to learn the art of sourdough baking. You’re welcome to sign up for whichever date and time works best for you!

  • Because space is limited and every seat is part of the class experience, each attendee needs a reserved spot. Even those who plan to observe still take part in the teaching, tasting, and discussion—and seating is carefully planned so everyone has a comfortable place to learn. If your spouse is curious, we’d love to have them join by registering for a spot so they can fully enjoy the class alongside you!
